As Cardano Summit 2023, the special competition for all early-stage Cardano (ADA) startups, begins in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), one project has received particular attention – the world’s first-ever hardware cryptocurrency wallet in the form of a stylish ring.
Indeed, the new cryptocurrency cold storage product developed by Tangem is the first jewelry crypto wallet in the world, and it made its debut at the annual summit for the Cardano community, giving fans a first look at its special features and characteristics at a workshop on November 3.
As previously announced, the participants of the workshop received their own Tangem Ring and wallet for free to take these products for a test ride and become the first owners of the ring-shaped hardware wallet before its public sale. Commenting on the development, Tangem CTO Andrey Lazutkin said:
“As we unveil Tangem Ring, we’re not just launching a product; we’re ushering in a new era of digital asset management. With Tangem, we’re making cryptocurrency ownership stylish, secure, and simple.”
Tangem team’s efforts
At the same time, the Tangem development team revealed more details on Tangem Pay, the first self-custodial payment card in the crypto industry with cold storage that combines crypto savings with making fiat payments using one of the 95 million Visa (NYSE: V) terminals across the world.
Earlier this year, Finbold reported on the Zug, Switzerland-based company Tangem first unveiling its plans for a comprehensive product upgrading and rebranding initiative aimed at bolstering its market presence within the hardware wallet industry, including the VISA certification for its payment solution.
Specifically, the team at Tangem revealed in August that these efforts would include several enhancements to the product design and the hardware wallet, as well as a detailed overhaul of the Tangem app, the development of a fresh brand style guide, the introduction of an updated logo, the creation of new cards, and the design of new packaging.
