DeFiChain to sponsor Germany’s biggest MMA league

When it comes to mixed martial arts (MMA) in Germany, the National Fighting Championship (NFC) acts as the German equivalent of the well-known UFC.

After a community vote, DeFiChain (DFI), a leading blockchain on the Bitcoin network focused on making decentralized financial apps (dApps) and services available to everyone, announced on March 7 its sponsorship of the NFC for 2023, according to information shared with Finbold.

Michael Ortlepp, Managing Director of the NFC organizer Fighting GmbH, stated:

“It is a great joy and privilege for us to announce our partnership with DeFiChain. NFC, as well as DeFiChain, follow the same values and goals and are made for a great partnership that will have a lasting effect on the German MMA scene.”

DeFiChain to provide “Fighter Of The Night” bonus

Furthermore, DeFiChain will provide a “Fighter Of The Night” bonus to whoever wins the night’s best match. All combatants’ wallets will be credited with DFI instantly. Users may use it any way they choose, including buying dStocks or participating in liquidity mining on DeFiChain to increase their returns. Also, one lucky attendee will be selected randomly during the live event to receive 1,000 DFI for having the DeFiChain Wallet app loaded on their device.

Benedikt Keck, Project Lead NFC Sponsoring at DeFiChain, stated:

“I’m really happy about the partnership between us and the team of fighting.de. With the DeFiChain sponsored €10,000 “Fighter of the Night Bonus” we are able to give the fighters the appreciation they deserve. Our community is looking forward to being part of this fantastic fighting community.”

Community support for DeFiChain in Germany is expanding, and DeFiChain is hoping it will be able to attract more crypto-curious individuals in the German market now that they have the possibility to sponsor the largest German mixed martial arts league.

Before becoming a sponsor of the NFC, DeFiChain worked along with several different firms to carry out market research. It was discovered that consumers and creators of cryptocurrencies have a strong interest in gaming, basketball, combat sports, and drone racing.
